Challenge-Handshake Authentication Protocol - Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP) est un protocole d`authentification pour PPP à base de challenge, ce qui le rend bien plus sûr que son prédécesseur PAP. Ce protocole est défini dans la RFC 1994.
